The NG1 is assessed by an Open Book Exam (OBE).
You will receive a link from NEBOSH via email to download your OBE on the date & time of exam. You can attempt your exam at your home or work.
You will have 24 hour to complete the OBE and submit. You need to submit the assignment on the link provided by NEBOSH.
The OBE will consist of a scenario where you are acting as a health & safety consultant or adviser and you have deal with some issues or activities. Based on the scenario, there will be at least 10 essay type questions to complete. The total marks for the OBE is 100 and candidates need to achieve at least 45% to obtain a pass. (See below samples of OBE).
After submission of your OBE, you will have to attend a closing interview on a mutually agreed date & time. The closing interview can be done via Skype or ZOOM or even face to face where possible. (See below details on the closing interview)
